Position Overview:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. The COO will be responsible for the strategic oversight of Whole Picture Health's operations, ensuring operational excellence, scalability, and continuous innovation in our service delivery. This role involves a blend of strategic leadership, operational management, and partnership development to drive the company's growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with the CEO and board to develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's vision and goals.
- Lead the execution of business strategies that enhance productivity, profitability, and market presence.
Operational Management:
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations, from development to customer service, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop policies and procedures that streamline operations and ensure scalability as the company grows.
- Manage budget planning, cost management, and financial performance in alignment with strategic objectives.
Innovation and Technology:
- Drive innovation in health tech solutions.
- Ensure the company remains at the cutting edge of technology by fostering an environment of continuous improvement and R&D.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing team, providing direction, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and high engagement.
Partnerships and External Relations:
- Develop strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, technology vendors, and industry institutions to enhance service offerings.
- Represent Whole Picture Health at industry events, conferences, and in media to promote the company's capabilities and achievements.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all operations comply with health regulations, data protection laws, and ethical standards.
- Implement quality control systems to meet healthcare service and product standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience; advanced degree in health sciences or technology is a plus.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of senior management experience, with a significant portion in the healthcare, insurance or technology industry.
- Proven track record in operational leadership roles, ideally in a startup or fast-growing tech company.
- Experience with AI, machine learning, or similar technologies preferred.
Skills:
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in budgeting, financial planning, and process optimization.
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments in healthcare.
